This is a great staple sauce, perfect for pasta or even as a dipping sauce!
- 1/2 cup Farmer's Market Foods Organic Pumpkin
- 1/2 chopped onion
- 1/2 chopped celery
- 2 large garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- grated nutmeg
- fresh parsley and parmesan for garnish
In a large skillet, cook the onion, celery, and garlic in the butter over medium heat, stirring, until the onions are translucent.
Add pumpkin, broth, cream, nutmeg, and salt and pepper to taste. Simmer the sauce, stirring occasionally for 10 minutes.
Garnish with the parsley and parmesan, and serve over pasta.
